The US~Observer Needs Information on the Following People:
Savanna Baur, Logan Baur and Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen Zappala Jr.
By US~Observer Staff

Allegheny County, PA – On January 21, 2019, Douglas Simoncic Jr. (DJ), born 11-1-1990 was arrested on charges of sex abuse resulting from three previous years of alleged false accusations leveled against him by his half-sister’s son and daughter, Savanna Baur and her brother Logan Baur. The sex abuse reportedly occurred many years earlier.
According to family members, Danae Simoncic Baur Rocco, Douglas Simoncic Sr.’s daughter swayed her children to allegedly falsely accuse her half-brother Douglas Simoncic of sex abuse when he was a minor child.
Simoncic was subsequently convicted after complainants call his trial a “travesty of justice.”
On January 5, 2023, DJ was sentenced to 10 to 30 years in prison, despite being accused of committing the alleged crimes as a minor and having no prior criminal record.
Just a small portion of the evidence we have obtained are pictures, reportedly shared on social media by the alleged victim’s Mother Danae Simoncic Baur Rocco in 2013, showing Douglas Simoncic Jr. riding horses with Savanna and Logan Baur approximately five years after the alleged sexual abuse supposedly took place. Notice that everyone in the photos seem quite at ease with themselves and each other as they enjoy riding.

More Than Reasonable Doubt?
After viewing the following pictures and postings and comparing them with the trial testimony below of Savanna and Logan Baur simply ask yourself if any of this further evidence would create reasonable doubt. Doubt that was not presented to the jury in DJ’s case.
From the Trial Transcript – Savanna’s Testimony in October of 2022
- As you sit here today talking to me and 14 total strangers, how has what the Defendant did affect you?
Savanna – A. “It’s affected a lot of things. My trust with people in general, any relationship at all. My sexual relationships. The way that I view a relationship with somebody, in general. I don’t want anyone near me, or to touch me, or anything remotely close to that; it makes me sick, and I still have nightmares about it.”
Savanna told the above as she was presenting herself as a distraught victim of DJ. The pics and her testimony sure don’t add up. Savanna’s pictures are a complete contradiction to her testimony just as other parts of her testimony at trial are in complete contradiction to her brother Logan’s sworn testimony. Do the pictures prove that Savanna perjured herself during DJ’s trial? The jury in DJ’s trial did not get to see any of this information…
More of Savanna’s Trial Testimony in October of 2022
- As an 8-year-old, how easy would it had of been — because you’re talking to us right now, you’re talking about a lot of different things — how easy would it had of been for you as an 8 or 9-year-old to talk about all of this with a stranger or somebody?
Savanna – A. “I truly don’t know how I would have been able to. I was terrified that something would happen. I fully convinced myself that he would harm me.”
- Even now, you’re 23 years old, correct?
Savanna – A. “Correct.”
Does Savanna look “terrified” in the horse pictures above with DJ?
Logan Baur Information
During DJ’s sentencing Logan Baur testified about DJ stating, “I don’t wish prison or any of that bad stuff on him. I do wish mercy on my behalf for him.” If a person were truly molested many times by an individual, would a prudent person expect them to state this regarding the person they claim molested them.
On twitter Logan Baur reportedly tweets, “sometimes I gotta lie” (see tweet above). Wow, what an admission.
